PUG’s Unique Role and input to Wendia’s POB
The POB User Group’s status and influence upon Wendia and POB is unique among user groups. While many organizations are represented by user groups, PUG’s role and methods are different to most.
Wendia has specifically delegated PUG as specialists to contribute valuable input that influences future POB versions. This means that PUG can and really does make a difference. POB customers and partners are hugely impressed by PUG’s role, function and the positive influence it brings to bear on Wendia and POB alike. PUG’s close-knit cooperation with Wendia is conducted in a highly efficient manner based on informal meetings and a formal and effective delivery process. This is quite unique, and a definite asset according to Günter Kryczun, and Ivar Grong Nesset, Wendia’s country General Managers in Germany and Norway.
Influencing the development of new versions
PUG’s role is also appreciated by Wendia’s customers, like Hanne Johl who is the Help Desk POB Administrator at Ringsted Kommune. “We participate in the PUG conferences to gain experience in relation to how and where POB is used in the various organizations, and to maintain and improve our contact network. Furthermore, we enjoy the opportunity of listening to Wendia’s presentation of the status of POB, and taking part in the discussion of its future development. I believe that it is unique that customers in a user group can in this way convey their requirements to the development of the product – and be listened to,” says Hanne Johl.
The POB User Group is independent of supplier interests but co-operates with Wendia International and communicates its members’ requests for the development of Wendia as a company and POB as the product. Under the management of this association, workgroups are created to highlight and investigate specific POB issues. Furthermore, the PUG association creates a forum to:
- Exchange experiences in the use of POB
- Exchange experiences/examples of statistics and reports from POB
- Solve common problems in relation to the use of POB
- Discuss common requests to “standard POB”
- Discuss common requests to the further development of POB
