How to Hide certain Case Types from Selected User Groups

Solving an internal customer request, Stefan Reichelt, COMPAREX Deutschland AG, has come up with an inspiring example for other POB technicians what to do with the new case type filter that became available with the POB21.14 release.

Stefan made a document showing a simple but hopefully useful example how to use the new case type dummy filter (LCATXXXX). In the example shown, it is made possible to define for each user group which case types will not be shown in the case window dropdown box.

Prerequisites:
- The implementation should be very easy. Anyway, you should be familiar with the Enterprise Manager. For custom solutions, you will need some knowledge about SQL, Generic Tabs (see Whitepaper for POB21.07) and Dynamic DB Relations (see Whitepaper for POB21.09).
- Because the Case Type dummy filter has been released with POB21.14 (See “POB21.14 Release Notes.PDF, Case 101347), you will need that version to use it.
Thanks to Stefan Reichelt for yet another good tip. Stefan will be rewarded with a selection of Danish quality chocolate.
