Wendia welcomes new customers
september 22, 2011
We are excited to add Alberta Electric System Operator and Hurley Medical to our list of POB customers in North America. And in Norway, we are happy to welcome Utdanningsdirektoratet, the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training, as new POB customer.
Alberta Electric System Operator
The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is Canada’s first customer-focused exchange for electricity. As an independent system operator, the AESO leads the safe, reliable and economic operation and planning of Alberta’s interconnected power system. The AESO also facilitates Alberta’s hourly wholesale electricity market, which in 2009 had about 200 participants and approximately $5 billion in annual energy transactions, and is accountable for the administration and regulation of load settlement function. Corporate headquarters are in Calgary.
Hurley Medical Center
As Genesee County's regional safety net health care provider , Hurley Medical Center reaches out to provide care to many people in eastern Michigan. Since opening on December 19, 1908, Hurley has grown to become the regional provider of advanced specialty care including burn medicine, kidney transplantation, pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, high-risk pregnancy care, and bariatric surgery. Hurley is a Level 1 trauma center, and is the area's premier children's hospital. Hurley is a 443 bed facility.
Wendia consultants helped Hurley see how POB could help prepare them for a new strategic medical application that is being implemented at Hurley in the coming months. Having a solid IT Service Management tool in place before the medical application could be implemented was a key to overall business success!
