Ringsted Municipality
The increased demands for efficiency within the public sector means that the IT departments are continuously evaluated. The municipalities are regularly benchmarked against each other, in politicians’ attempts to find spending cuts to meet budgets.
Satisfied IT Users
The most recent benchmarking of the IT department in the municipality of Ringsted was carried out in 2003 – three years after it was decided to use Wendia’s POB – Point of Business – software solution for IT support in the municipality. In the analysis the consultancy concluded: "By common consent, all the interviewed users agree that IT operations are highly satisfactory in the municipality of Ringsted. The network and the systems, for which the IT department is responsible, are almost always up and running, and the response time from the IT department in the event of errors and breakdowns are as a principal rule satisfactory."
POB takes much of the Credit
IT manager, Jens Petersen, makes no secret of the fact that POB can take much of the credit for this increased efficiency, and with the new POB21 version that Ringsted has upgraded to in 2004, there is the basis for maintaining the good service provided for the many users.
