POB Users’ Tips & Tricks
november 14, 2011
A WendiaNews service where a Wendia developer or customers finds a useful feature in POB, which is passed on here for the benefit of other users.
Stefan Reichelt has again provided us with a nice tip that he would like to share with our POB users:
Force file attachments depending on the error type – for ticket creation via End user WEB (Wendia Self Service Portal)
The document Stefan has written shows how to set up a DB Validation (error message) that denies the creation of a ticket without an attachment – depending on the error type.
Prerequisites:
- There are no special requirements. You should have a POB WEB running and your customers should be allowed to choose between different problem codes – either in the standard way or via End User WEB Forms.
- If you just follow the steps in this documentation, it is easy to set up. You will need to use the Enterprise Manager, add columns, creation of triggers and a validation event.
Please note that Wendia Support has tested and approved this feature, but takes no further responsibility for it and does not provide support for its implementation.

Stefan will be rewarded with a selection of Danish quality chocolates for his tip. If you have a tip to share, please send it to ms@wendia.com.
